HBO Master’s Final Project
This was my final project for the UX/UI Master’s program. It was a research and redesign of the HBO app. It wasn’t a professional project, but it was a complete one that I’m proud of. Looking back, I can see how much I’ve grown as a designer and how UX/UI has fascinated me ever since I started learning it.

Research Process
In the Master’s program, we were taught the Double Diamond methodology, which was the one used for this project. In the first stage, we applied several analysis tools to reach conclusions that would later influence the design. Of course, this process was iterative, and many times discoveries in some areas led me to revisit or adjust previous steps. The research was divided as follows:
Discover: Competitor Audit, Facebook Insights, Play Store/App Store reviews, Venn Diagram, SWOT Analysis, Benchmarking, Desk Research, Heuristic Evaluation, User Survey.
Ideate: Findings & Insights, In & Out, MoSCoW, HMW (How Might We), Value Proposition, Business Model Canvas.
Synthesize: User Personas, Journey Maps, Empathy Maps, Usability and Viability Matrix, Needs Matrix.
Design: User Flow, Sitemap, Wireframes, Design System Documentation, High-Fidelity Designs, Prototyping.

Wireframes, Foundations, and Components
With all the insights gathered, the wireframing phase began. The wireframes helped reveal which types of components would be needed in the app’s design. This made it necessary to define the foundations of the Design System.
From there, we started creating the required components according to each screen’s needs. As this process moved forward, all components were documented in Zeroheight.

High-Fidelity Designs and Prototyping
All the previous work gradually evolved into the final design of the project. In addition to the final screens, I did my best to create a complete prototype that simulates the full app experience as closely as possible.
